GOD BLESS MY DADDY

God, please Bless my Daddy, he was just called to War,

Please God, help me understand what he is fighting for.

As I lay me down to sleep, I'm hurting in my heart,

My daddy promised my momma "Hon, we will never be apart".

Now I see my Momma rocking the baby, calling on Your name,

I am only a child Dear Lord, but I think that it is a shame.

Mommies and daddies are not together tonight,

Someone we do not know have asked us to fight.

So God Bless all Mommies and Daddies and little kids like me,

Oh, and God Bless America from Sea to Shining Sea.
