"Down Yonder"

ODE TO THE OUTHOUSE

Ode to the outhouse, you were a friend of mine,

I still remember sitting there; these times were mighty fine.

It was a long walk from the back door of our old house to you,

I can still see you standing proud in the early Mountain dew,

You were a two seater, for those who liked to share,

Lots of times my sister and I would sit there and giggle, we did not have a care.

Oh cold frosty mornings, the snow was on the ground,

You offered a place to sit and think, where true peace could be found,

We got that new indoor plumbing, and it is neat,

My dear old ragged outhouse, I still remember the comfort of your seat.

Note to my brother Bobby, I've always been a dreamer....LOL even in my lil' ol' house out back.
