" The Rose "

THE STORM

The thunder roars, the lighting flashes, the rain is pouring down,

It is a star-filled night for the lovers; their hearts keeping rhythm with the sound.

A boy and girl lost in the splendor of love's sweet embrace,

An innocent night of discovery, the look on her sweet face.

Lost in a world of their own as the rain does a pitter-patter,

As she looks at her sweet love, nothing seems to matter.

He has often gazed in wonder at this lovely girl next door,

Tonight his eyes behold a wonder never seen before.

Can this moment be captured? Will it somehow fade away?

Will the treasure of this special night be lost at the break of day?

Will this only be the beginning of an adventure on the merry go round of life?

In the years ahead, will they remember that stormy night when they became man and wife.
