WALK GENTLY

Walk gently on this journey that is called life,

Words spoken in haste cut deeper than a knife,

Life is not a rehearsal; you're not given retakes,

You will not hear "Cut", let's cover our mistakes.

Spiteful words spoken in haste can tear someone apart,

A moment on the lips, forever in the heart,

A simple act of kindness, a smile or gentle touch,

Can lift someone's spirit, can mean so very much.

Walk gently on your journey as you travel day by day,

Take the time to enjoy the journey, you will not be back this way.
