REFLECTIONS OF THE NIGHT
I sat beneath the old Oak tree in the dark of night,
I watched as shadows danced in the pale moonlight.
They seemed to beckon take a look around,
There is a place where joy can still be found.
I heard tiny little girl giggle with delight,
I looked at her she was a tiny sight.
She smiled said come and play, find some pretty flowers,
We laughed and played until the morning hours.
Night gave way to a brand new day,
She smiled at me then slowly walked away.
As we gently hugged said goodbye she smiled at me so sweet,
She whispered I am you and you are me, that is really neat.
I know that little girl will never really go away,
She is still a part of me, and I like it that way.
