"The First Noel"

THE FIRST CHRISTMAS DAY

If I could step back in time go any place, do you know what I would like to see?

Take a stroll with me, look through my eyes, let me show you where it would be,

We must stand in silence, not say a word,

For we are standing at the place of our Lord's birth,

I see before me a maiden, so pure and so fair ,

With a smile upon her beautiful face, long flowing hair,

She holds in her arms the baby that would save the Earth ,

Can this pretty maiden imagine to whom she has given birth?

Can you see the glow around His sweet face?

Does this baby know that He will die for the human race?

The Mother and her baby slumber together now,

We have seen a miracle, I know not how,

Come my dear friend, let's be on our way, we have just witnessed the first Christmas Day.
